Hi, I'm Liz Alexander and I went to Harlaxton my spring semester of 2019. I am from Boonville, Indiana and am a Biochemistry major. While at Harlaxton, I traveled to Germany, Spain, Iceland, and Hungary as well as throughout England and Wales. Harlaxton gave me a great sense of independence and ability to manage my finances while abroad as well as gaining new perspectives on life outside of the US. I already loved to travel before going to Harlaxton, but I am already looking at other places that I can travel with my family and friends.
I am from Valparaiso, IN. I am a junior Public Health major with minors in Gender and Women Studies and Social and Human Services. I studied at Harlaxton in the Fall 2018 semester. I went to Scotland, Ireland, Spain and Sweden while I was there, in addition to smaller trips around England. Harlaxton has had a great impact on me. I still keep in contact with the family I met while participating in the Meet-A-Family program and I have friends now from across the country that I would have never met if I had not gone to Harlaxton. I can't wait to go back to Europe one day and continue the adventure I started in Harlaxton.
My name is Samantha Brown and I am from Los Angles California. I am a senior CJ/SOC Major with a minor in Human and Social Services. During my time at Harlaxton, I got the opportunity to travel to London, Leeds, Dublin, The Cliffs of Moher, Aushwitz Poland, Barcelona, Budapest, Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence and Amsterdam. Being able to travel to each of these amazing places has opened my mind to oa whole new world I was missing out on. These are experiences I will be able to pass along to my chlgren and also apply to my career in the future.
My name is Rachael Howey and I am a junior from Shiloh, IL which is about 20 minutes from St. Louis. I came to the University of Evansville to study exercise science and because I was admitted into the direct entry physical therapy program. My adventure to Harlaxton began in January of 2019 and went through May. While in Harlaxton I traveled every weekend making it to the following places: London, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Iceland, Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Budapest, Ireland, Lake District, Brighton, Crete, Venice, Florence, and Rome. My adventures in Harlaxton were full of adventure, spontaneity, and fun. Sometimes plans fell apart, or I booked the wrong flight, but I got to see the world in ways I had never imagined and learned more about world history in a semester than I had in my entire life. With both my parents being in the military I had seen the world. I lived in Germany and got the opportunity to travel the world at a young age, but Harlaxton was completely different. Harlaxton brought me out of my shell and I found myself meeting new people, wanting to try new things, and learning to never be afraid of being myself. I learned more about myself in this semester than I could have ever imagined and I will be forever thankful for the opportunities Harlaxton gave me.
Hi! I'm Sammy McNeill, a Communications major from Grand Rapids, Michigan and a member of the Fall 2019 Harlaxton Graduating Class and am wishing everyday that I could be back there breathing that great Harlaxton air! While at Harlaxton I was able to make some incredible friends both from the US and outside of it, and made some great memories with each. London was a huge hotspot for me during my time at Harlaxton. There's so much culture there that there's always something unique going on! I went to London Comic-Con, had a pint with some famous actors in the bottom of one of Sir Francis Drake's boats, and more! I also traveled to Finland, Germany, and Iceland, and highly recommend you to do the same! Through Harlaxton, I was able to find a place that I'd feel comfortable calling home and made connections with some of the nicest people I've ever known, and will keep close to my heart even with an ocean between us.
My name is Lauren Meyer and I am from Huntingburg, IN. I am majoring in psychology as well as minoring in business and neuroscience. While studying abroad, I visited incredible cities like London, Edinburgh, Nice, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manarola, and many more!! Harlaxton taught me how to overcome the nerves that come with change, provided me with a greater understanding and respect for cultural differences, as well as gave me a lifetime of memories with my now closest friends.

I am a Health Services Administration pre-Physical Therapy major from Greenwood, Indiana. I went to Harlaxton in spring 2019! While at Harlaxton, I went to London multiple times, visited fifteen different cities in England, and explored Ireland, Wales, Scotland, France, and Italy! Harlaxton has impacted my life by helping me become more confident and outgoing as a person, student, and leader. My semester at Harlaxton was life-changing and I am so glad UE offers such an amazing experience!
My name is Jake Watson! I am from Shawneetown, Illinois. I am an Electrical Engineering major. I want to Harlaxton in Fall '18. Aside from England, I visited Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Iceland, Morocco, Portugal, and Italy (and Vatican City, its a country). My Harlaxton experience changed my view of myself as a person living in a global community, taught me that you should always be open to new ideas and experiences, to be prepared for anything, and to always get the biggest scoop of gelato.
I am a junior Biology/Spanish double major from Kansas City, Kansas and attended class at Harlaxton for the Spring 2019 semester. I traveled across the United Kingdom, visiting Wales, Scotland and much of England. I also visited France, several cities in Italy, Ireland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and spent a month in Spain following the end of the semester. My time at Harlaxton allowed me to build connections with various students across the United States and helped me build an international network of close friends who taught me to understand and appreciate a variety of cultures. I now feel far more confident and capable than I did prior to my semester abroad, and have discovered a passion for travel and adventure to keep me exploring for a lifetime!
