Set in 300 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of England, Harlaxton is the perfect setting for your customized program. Enjoy the peace of the British Midlands and the ability to be in London in only one hour. Other major cities and culturally-important sites are close enough for a day out or weekend away.

Our Programming
Take full advantage of all the manor has to offer. Your students are invited to participate in our evening activities and cultural events. Learn traditional English dances, come to our concerts, enjoy our lecture series, or karaoke with other students in our bistro. Programs like this will be available for your summer groups.

Our Service
Your customized program will have access to our accommodations, common rooms, sports hall/gym, gardens, programming, and our expert team. We will also help you make the best of the surrounding area with support for your academic and cultural excursions.
Getting Started
We ask for an initial request for all programs you wish to operate at the manor. Once you have submitted this request, our customized programs team will contact you with any questions or follow-up. We are happy to discuss your needs and help determine if Harlaxton is a good fit for your program.
Please note the following for the best program
- We prefer groups who wish to stay at the manor for two weeks or longer. Shorter programs may be accepted on a space-available basis. A surcharge will apply to groups staying fewer than five days.
- All groups will have an on-site orientation, include a house tour, health and safety briefing, and house rules.
- Resident directors will offer programming in the evenings and on weekends to bring all groups at the manor together as Harlaxton students. Your group is encouraged to participate in these programs. Experiencing life at Harlaxton is one of the best ways to become a part of our community.
For 2024, we will be open for summer programs May 6-August 10. During our Harlaxton summer terms (June 3-July 3 and July 8-August 7), space may be more limited. We also have capacity to host some groups during times like December, J-term, and spring break. Next Steps
If Harlaxton is a good fit for your program, we will work with you to find an itinerary that is best for your teaching needs. We will then send a quote and contract for your review. Once the contract is returned, we hope your students will be excited to join your program and come to Harlaxton Manor!
Your contract will specify a date by which the manor will need a final roster of students. From this roster, we will provide an invoice for your program.
We will also require that all students and faculty members complete registration and health forms through our online system. Our customized programs team will guide you through this process.
Students and faculty will also be sent a pre-departure handbook and orientation materials to review before they depart the US. We also require proof that your entire group is insured for their time abroad with us.
Approximately one month before your arrival at the manor, our Harlaxton team will begin to work with you to ensure all program details are ready and to host you at the manor during your visit.
